Melodic dubstep with substance can be hard to find today among all the random synths thrown in in seemingly random order in a lot of songs today. These two songs are powerful in the sense that they carry more emotional content than just random crazy sounds. The first, the Gemini Remix of Oxygen is from earlier this year but I thought it was worthy of posting. It has powerful vocals and sidechained synth with a reversed sound (not something you see often in dubstep when there isnt a kick present). The second one a new track by Hooky, it features a filthy synth and a heavy bassline while retaining melodic content.

We like hard and aggressive music so when I found this track on soundcloud and saw that it was not downloadable or had been released I knew I had to convince the artist to let me have it. Cyberex is a young romanian dubstep producer and this is my favorite track of his. This song, Dungeon, is perfect battle music. I feel like this song is appropriate for any scene in any movie where warriors or soldiers are walking into battle, preferably in slo-motion, kind of like that Invasion track I posted a short while back.
